Night Rain~
Once-full moon pressed stormy skies,
to share a light remaining
memories, gathered in soft rain
fell like silent tears
moist, cold, peaceful
it has its place
among the flowerZ
in the garden of a heart.
This post is part of the
A-Z Challenge 2012.
It absolutely has a place in the heart! Very nice..I like your reference to tears being moist, cold and peaceful...so true.
ReplyDeleteTears are our bodies natural means for cleansing :-)
DeleteSomething very soothing and nourishing about hearing a soft night rain when you are warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteI would agree. My tendency is to move into it, as close as I can be without getting wet, like under a tin roof in an open barn stall, or a carport, or a tunnel in the park... but if it is warm and I am able, my bare feet will be drinking in the ground water as I walk in it. I just love the rain!
Deletewhy does this one want to make me cry?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure Sandra... does rain make you cry?
DeleteThank you Sarah. I enjoyed your write on audiences too!
ReplyDeletehere from the challenge. What a beautiful poem.
ReplyDeleteThank you for finding me, it allowed me to find you much more easily than the list would have. :-)
DeleteI am a new follower too. This is what I love about the challenge. Finding amazing blogs/friends!
DeleteLovely poem - although we have far too much rain here (and not just at night either!)
ReplyDeleteToo much makes the world around us soggy, that's unfortunate. Though I bet you have some wonderfully lush surroundings (as I have already noticed in the pictures you have been sharing).
DeleteSweet!!
