Energy Symbiosis

There is a sort of magick that surrounds the connection between two souls of a kindred nature melding energy into one form of enlightenment, if you will, that comes with the sharing of our emotional landscape one to the other.
If we picture each individual as energy that interacts with other energy, it gives us a visual representation of the possible exchanges between people that is fairly easy to imagine.

Some people drain our energy, shrinking our ability to expand, while others cause it to radiate, spreading out into all we come in contact with.  I have been blessed with many mutually beneficial exchanges in life thus far.  Recently, however, the inclusion of someone special to me has shown me a new level or depth of energy symbiosis.  The shared energy reminds me of the circular yin-yang symbol. When one side of the symbol shifts, the other shifts to maintain a natural harmony and balance.  It is one of comfortable union, where the intersection of energy forms a sort of warm light around us both.
It would be remiss of me not to address the vulnerability factor of such a union.  However, vulnerability is part of the growth process, without it there would be no push to learn, nor meaning given in the form of interest, trust and a desire for further connection.  Like any valuable lesson there are at least two sides to any coin.  The darker aspects of vulnerability can be displayed as fear, confusion, distrust and disinterest.

The catalyst to personal growth can come in many forms, if only our eyes are open and our senses attuned to the energy available around us.  With a free mind and spirit we are given the opportunity to embrace emotional interaction.  When vulnerability steps in with a slow tango into the one dance, we can see it as it really is… merely a step in a dance much larger than the floor we can create with our minds.

Here’s to the journey!

  1. I never thought of my emotional connections this way before even though I consider myself a fairly introspective and self-aware person. This is an interesting way to look at the relationships that move us and help us grow. Glad to have found you at Write on Edge. Erin

  4. I like the title Energy Symbiosis. Without allowing at least a little of our vulnerability to issue forth how can we enjoy a whole relationship. Though it may be difficult to do so, it's a necessary risk. As you say, here's to the journey.

    1. The limitations we have in our lives, are those that we create, nurture and thrive in. I want to live this life to its fullest, in order to do so, I have to recognize my own interactions with this Universe.
