GBE2 WK36 Prompt: Time |
Too fast: when we are doing something we love to do.
Too slow: when we are doing something we don't want to do.
Not enough: when we want to do more of what we are doing.
Too much: when we don't know what to do.
Time is a
system of measurement created by, and for human beings to keep track of
intervals, or distances between.
During
After
Before
Around
~aka ~
occasions
moments
hours, minutes, seconds,
instances
points
eras
Words give us an arsenal of methods to measure the variable
that defines our lives… it marks that point at which something significant
takes place.
Sometimes limited, sometimes unspecified, always kept track of by
someone, somewhere.
It is used as an awareness point that helps to make reference
between then, and now… past, present, or future.
…in their own time
…serving time
… all in good time
…when the time comes
… for all time
…all the time
…at the same time
…sometimes
…behind the times
…biding time
They even have courses you can take on managing your time
efficiently.
Musicians have to understand how to keep time.
Parents know the value of
"I told you already three times!"
Coaches and players understand time out.
Degrees are awarded for time spent.
You can mark time, take time, and even have play time, in
your own time.
Versatile… Time.
LOL! Your post is a good way to start the ball rolling for this week's topic!Enjoyed it! :D
ReplyDelete(grinZ) It was a fun way to tackle it ;-) Thank you for having fun with it too Feathered One

ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn, I figured if I was going to get my post out of the gate swiftly, it might be a good idea to prompt, within a prompt!

ReplyDeleteThanks Beth, and likewise thank you for being the heart of our GBE2 Group. You amaze me all the time!
DeleteGreat job on taking on the versatility of time! I knew it would be uplifting and I knew you would rock it and by cracky, you did!
ReplyDeleteJust love your stuff and just love you!
(blushes pink-like) ahhhh I love you too Jo! Thank you for always coming by and leaving the love on my pages!
DeleteOkay, I posted and it said "nope, you may not post on this blog" but not really in those words. So, I love the idea of blogging on the versatility of time and I love how you did it.
ReplyDelete♥ u and your work, always.
And you did NOT give up (and I got TWO posts from you as a result)... well let me say YAY! hehehheh...

ReplyDeleteOhhhhh then I am earning my Versatile Blogger Award... that's a good thing! Thank you Laura!
DeleteSo creative indeed, very nicely done, enjoyed reading it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Claudia! I like to know what is, and is not reader friendly! :-)
DeleteIt's amazing how many phrases relate to time. Great song! You don't have to worry about taking time to reply to my comments. I rarely get back to read people's responses anyway. :(

Well Joyce, this way if you ever DO come back by... you will know that I enjoyed reading the one you left for me:-)
DeleteThe geek in me really likes how you presented this.. each phrase relates to time, but each conjures a different aspect of time and how it relates to our lives. Nicely played.
ReplyDeleteI can't even whine about the subject time, oh but I do, all the time. Oh well, I guess those dust bunnies can build a condo in the corner of the living room because me allocating time to Hoover them up is not on my to-do list this week.
It's like planting seeds for further contemplation that way ;-)
Deletehehehhehe... You made me laugh Brenda, dust bunnies building condos, now that's a fun start to a children's story!
So great, I loved your opener...I was just telling my mom on the phone that I was bored and time was moving too slow. She replied, 'aren't you at work?'.....
ReplyDeleteThat's fun Anna... and so apropos! Thank you for taking the time to share a laugh with me too!
DeleteOnce again you have captured the essence of time. tehehe. Great post! You hit the nail right on the head of the theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat! It made for a fun venture into the world of words with some time on my hands ;-)
DeleteCool way to approach the topic. How about space and time. That's a whole 'nother way to look at time and how enormous, endless it is. Just consider how long it takes for light to reach us from a distant star and then realise that what it is, when it reaches us, is history, a moment in far distant time... Blows my mind.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cool insight Mojo. I can remember the first time someone explained to me that the shooting star we see in front of our eyes, is no more than history replaying events that happened in another time. It's a fascinating train of thought to ride!
DeleteThank you:-)
I love this. This was absolutely brilliant!
