At the End of the Day - (BFF162)

Shadows wash away the hazy shades of sunlight mingled
with cloudy sky ambition,
and oolong tea.
She pours herself into comfortable familiarity
remembers what she had forgotten
and forgets about the day.
Faces float by inside a mind full of dreams
standing in line for an opportunity
to wake
while she prepares to ignore
a desire she had long ago put to bed
so that she may sleep
at the end of the day.

Not sure why exactly, but this is vivid and disturbing to me and yet, quieting at the same time.

    Lovely.
