Bruce Springsteen - Dancing In The Dark

How can I begin to think of dancing and sit still enough to write a post? Well it's not going to happen I tell you. That crafty GBE2 Leader (whose name will not be mentioned ... uhmmm.. Word Nerd) picked a topic that I can't leave alone. It's not part of the A-Z Challenge, but it still starts with a 'D' which means I have to hurry before it's time to post the next one... why? Because -

she's a dancin' machine...

Now I am dancin' my happy arse over to the chair with a nice hot cup of tea to focus on that trifecta challenge of the BRAIN... watch her get down, watch her get down, while she do, do, do her thing...

Does anyone have coffee on? LOL... GADS get me outta here!

  1. Laughing! Imagining you jumping around the keyboard and trying to make sense out of whatever showed up on the screen. Sitting back down with tea in hand, typing out the blog above.
    Love it! ♥
Copying from GBE2 page...between Amy and Beth.

don't forget the e prompt will be:

"Elizabeth Grace ~ Hey Amy, I have an "E" topic for you: "Elizabeth Grace is a slave-driving pain in the ass." :OD"

  2. You know, I never really understood Bruce Springsteen's song "Dancing in the Dark". What a dichotomy! You can't really dance to it, because it's a face-paced rock ballad, with the wrong tact. I always thought if he re-recorded it, as a slow blues number, it's be an evergreen, like Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight".
The Jackson 5 was always popular. Mo-Town, Soul-Town dancing music. It's ain't called R&B for nothin'!

    1. Weissdorn, it was one of my favorites for dancing with a particular partner, and always with the lights down low. I enjoyed it, it's not too fast, not too slow. Maybe someone else could record it and slow it down like Clapton's Wonderful Tonight, but I like that music at the pace it is at, and it wouldn't be Springsteen if it were slower. :-)

  5. "Dancing Machine" brings back memories of dancing in the living room with my friends as we sang into candlesticks and twirled until we were dizzy. Thanks for the trip back to a memory that made me smile big time!

  6. Love the Springsteen one and really, who could sit still to Dancing Machine?!

I have a feeling a great big uh-oh might be in store for "E." Should I be worried? ;O)
