G ~ Gates of Eden

Gates of Eden~

Tonight I succumb to strange realms

accompanied with grace,

suited in Eden's attire

to drink of mirrored love.

Her reflection shares

green eyes watered down with time

lips parted in a downward smile

speaking in riddled whispers

of rainfall,

and smoky clouds.

Black-eyed Susan stares

over white pickets

into oblivion

while she combs pine needles

from her hair

and counts the pennies tossed

upon the water.

Wishes apples weren't so sweet.

I like how this is wistful but stong at the same time. It's just beautiful.

    1. Hahah... well I guess that's the nature of poetry. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. I could explain it to you, but that would take away part of the fun. ;-)

  10. Thanks for stopping by! I'm still kind of fumbling around on my personal blog and still hopeful I'll find a rhythm soon. lol But I'm also tackling this project on two blogs, as I see are you, and the other blog is going very well. So I can't complain. :o)

    1. It was my pleasure. I am sure you will find a rhythm, it just takes a bit of time and exploration. I don't know what possessed me to do two of them my first run at it, but I did! Though with both of them poetry, it does make it a bit easier than I had expected :-)

Thank you, and thank you for stopping by here too!
