V ~ Voice of Angels

Voice of Angels~

I played along the banks of Appalach

there with just my suitcase and some cash

it wasn't long before the sun went down

bridged between the ocean

and this sleepy little town

I heard the voice of angels call my name

knew right then and there,

I'd never be the same

Touched by the light of Your love

kissed by an angel from above

underneath the sultry southern skies

bridged between the ocean and my life

Solemn words of wisdom spoke to me

The voice of angels...

the voice of angels.

You fell asleep beside me in the sand

quietly I watched you breathe

while every single part of me

longed to hold You endlessly

I heard the voice of angels call my name

knew right then and there,

I'd never be the same

Touched by the light of Your love

kissed by an angel from above

underneath the sultry southern skies

bridged between the ocean and my life

Solemn words of wisdom spoke to me

clear as clear can be

the voice of angels...

You are my angel...

You are...

my angel.

  4. I have in my head an outlaw kind of sound - don't know why.. The outlaws are old time country singers, Johnny Cash, Waylon, and those guys. Funny how that happens sometimes, words connect images and music.

    1. Maybe you can hear more than the words I put on paper. When I write lyrics, I always hear the music in the background. I have yet to be able to play, or write it well enough to translate... but you are on target with this one :-)

    1. Thank you nutschell. I will often write with music in my mind, and it does come across lyrically when that happens. I miss getting together with my friends that could write music (and did not write lyrics) because magickal things happened. :-)
