A Dream Between (100 Word Song)

This week's 100 Word Song challenge inspiration is OK Go's "This Too Shall Pass" chosen for Lance and Leeroy by Mel.
Lillie's life was changed on the way to a friend's wedding, in ways she has yet to discover. This is a continuing story about Lillie through the 100 Word Song Challenge. Last weeks 100 words are here, and the story in its entirety can be found here.

When morning comes, she thought, she would wake and this crazy dream would be over.

Lillie slept between tears that wouldn't come and Trevor's warm body. He was always there for her, even now when she was trapped between what made sense, and what would never make sense, he was there.

"Lillie, please wake up. I love you Lillie, do you hear me you stubborn ass woman? I love you Lillie." Trevor said as heavy drops trickled down his face.

She couldn't hear him, not now.

"Then I will come to you."  Trevor said as he stared out the window.

I like Trevor crying and growing into his emotions for her. Really good 100.

    1. Thanks Lance, there must be growth, if they are ever going to get past these moments. I am glad you can feel the shift. :-)

  2. I'm worried, since it seems to me like Lillie is either dead or in a coma here, what Trevor is planning to do to come to her!!

  3. I haven't read any of the other posts for this story, but this is heavy with emotion. You've captured the pain so well!

    1. They are all posted if you want to. This one is a pivot point.

  4. It's sort of a darker gift of the magi, with her trying to get back to him and him threatening to come to her, and the communications lines all broken down around them...
