I know, you might be thinking to yourself, "The woman's gone mad," but I signed on for the Camp NaNoWriMo June 2012 challenge. The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of June. (It comes out to about 150 pages... or 1700 words a day... that's not too bad right?)
It ought to be an interesting experiment. If you don't see as much of me through this month, know that I am still kickin' around ideas, and will be here to plant them on the fertile soil of cyber from time to time.
Yep you are nuts! he he he You go girl! Then for the next two months, you can edit. :)
ReplyDeletelaughs really hard I hadn't thought of that Jo, but you are more than likely KEEEERECT!
DeleteWOW, you go girl!!! That is so exciting I am just in complete awe of you!! Good luck!!

Thank you Kathy:-) It will be an exciting adventure for certain.
DeleteA to Z nearly did me in so you definitely have my admiration! Best of luck. We'll all be cheering you on! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThank you Kat. This one will be a little different from the A-Z, because it is about the writing, not necessarily the reading. It will still be one heck of a challenge, but I just have to see what it takes to get it done. I will be counting on you to cheer me on, support is something that I appreciate.
DeleteI will also be filling out (have already started) the Tag ;-)
You go girl! :-) All the best to you.
ReplyDeleteOh, now that's a challenge! And I know you can do it k. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vote of confidence d~ :-)
DeleteI don't think you're mad (OK, just a wee bit) because as noted before I wrote the first half of my novel this way ( not at camp, but the old Nano way in November. I never thought I'd make it through but I did and ended up finishing the latter half in January. Don't even get me started on the rewrites. I know you're a bit behind, but don't stop writing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement Brenda, I am behind, but I am going to forge ahead and see where I end up when June is said and done... one day at a time :-)
DeleteThe fact that you finished your first half this way is encouraging!
Good luck! I'm also giving this a go. Just over 14,000 words and plowing full steam ahead!
ReplyDeleteI am a bit behind Adrianne, but I am going to continue to plug along. This next week there will be no requirements of being up, or asleep at any particular time. That usually leaves me writing, and writing, without consideration for pause ;-)
