Lance and Leeroy gave me the golden gauntlet this week, and let me pick the music for this week's challenge. The honour was considered carefully, and I chose Tracy Chapman's "Telling Stories," it was a nice surprise to see that it made Leeroy (and Lance) smile!
Last weeks 100 Word Song Entry.
Or you can catch the tale as it progresses in entirety here.
This week's 100 Word Song addition to the ongoing story of Lillie:
Lillie wondered why he was still talking to the body in the bed before her, when she was standing on the other side of the room behind him.
"Lillie, do you remember when you asked me if I thought Jake liked you? I have a confession to make, he did like you. He liked you a lot. But I couldn't stand the thought of his grimy hands anywhere near you," Trevor said as he brushed an errant strand of dark hair from her face.
"I think, I mean I…" he stammered.
"You think what Trevor?" Lillie asked with increasing frustration.
OH MY GAWD!!! I cannot believe how these 100 words can get my goat so bad! lol Every one is a cliff hanger...thank you so much for including the link to last weeks as well...nice to get into a 200 word flow! :) Awesome...and patiently waiting for next week.
ReplyDeleteHehehhe.. Yeah Tash, it's hard not to make them cliff hangers when there are only 100 words a week. At least Lance leaves some in between. ;-)
DeleteThank you for enjoying it.
Still loving this string! Especially the fact that Lillie seems to be much more upset with Trevor than she is the fact that she is apparently no longer in her own body.
ReplyDeleteAnd why isn't she, exactly? Do tell...
=)
I'm glad you are enjoying it t :-)
DeleteNow you know I can't tell you too much ahead of time, but I bet you have some ideas ;-)
Ima have to go back and catch up on this so I know what the hell is going on!
ReplyDeleteHey there Eric,
DeleteYes, one of the challenges of creating a story with only the 100 word song prompt, is figuring out how to get enough in each segment that it makes sense on it's own. Hard challenge, but fun to attempt. Thanks for joining in.
I like how this story is developing. I went back and read the previous pieces so I could understand the flow (the curse of 100 word snippets!)
ReplyDeleteLillie is definitely getting a fabulous opportunity to learn some juicy information. I just hope she wakes up and can use it :)
Loved the song choice
Thank you Carrie.
DeleteYes, it is a challenge to do only the 100 Words and make it flow seamlessly.
She is, I am getting excited... it's hard for me to stick to the 100 ;-)
Thank you!
Like Carrie, I hope Lillie can live with and learn from what she's about to hear.
ReplyDeleteWe will see ;-) Thank you for peeking in Cameron!
DeleteOooh, I like where this is going. I can't wait until Trevor can finally hear Lillie.
ReplyDelete:-) Thannks Badrinath!
